We carry a full line of high quality ski rental equipment (skating and classic) at reasonable rates for adults, youth and children. Call us at 668-4477 to book one of our rental packages.
Rental Shop Hours
The rental shop is open every day from November 1 to April 15. Hours vary during the season and according to weather conditions.
Naptime and Ski time!
The Ski Base has a Baby Glider (pulk) for rent. Baby Gliders have one pole attaching the pulk to the waist strap. The pole has a built in spring to reduce the jerking motion of the pulk. The Baby Glider is excellent for classic or skating technique or for snowshoeing.
Rental rates for the Baby Glider - $20 per month or $75 for the season.
Single use rentals will be available on first come first served basis for $10 per outing. During November there will be a special trial offer of $2.50 for a one hour outing.
PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR BABY MUST BE 4 MONTHS OLD OR OLDER. It is recommended by doctors that babies younger than three months should not be placed in a pulk because they do not have sufficient neck stability or heat regulation.

Rental skis will be waxed for the day and guaranteed to provide the best grip and glide for the conditions.
* ½ day- three hour maximum
** Punch card for 10 rentals (1/2 day). For adults who aren't ready to commit to buying a ski package, but plan to ski more than a couple of times, we offer a special rate so you can save some money on rentals over the season. Pay for 10 rentals in advance and save $25 on classic skis and $50 on skate skis. Valid only for current season.
*** Season rental for skiing on the Whitehorse Cross Country Ski Club trails. Unlimited use from November 1 to March 31. Skis will not be allowed out when conditions are marginal.
Jackrabbit Deal
$50 for season if registered in Jackrabbits or SnowFun and only skiing once a week. Maximum of 8 times.
Seasonal Rental Options
Skate/Classic Option - $45 - provides a choice between skate or classic length poles and skis and either skate boots or combi boots.
Training camp Option - $25 - additional charge for skiers who plan to take rental equipment to spring or fall training camps.
Race Option - $25 - additional charge for taking equipment to races that are not scheduled during normal Ski Team Squad practice sessions. (Equipment must be booked for races.)
Other Equipment Rentals
Snowshoes
Aluminum snowshoes that can be worn with any good winter boot – includes poles if required.
We now have snowshoe sizes for kids and heavier adults. Snowshoeing is allowed on the Mt McIntyre Trails and there are designated snowshoeing trails as well.
$5 for two hours or $10 per day
Nordic Blades
Ice skating blades that will fit any SNS Profil boot or NNN boot - can be used on any outdoor ice, but best on lakes in the early winter.
$5 for two hours or $10 per day
Nordic Walking Poles
Available in the summer or fall for ski specific training and hiking.
$5/day or $15/week when Ski Base opens in September – or by arrangement through the summer
Ski Bag for traveling
Will fit 2 pairs of skis and poles.
$10 for weekend, $20 for 2 week trip
Rental Equipment Sale
Rental equipment will be available for sale in September and at the Ski Swap.
